Northwestern Sets Crazy 55-8 Lead at Halftime

Northwestern Northwestern University notched a record-breaking final score 96-31 in their win over Chicago State on Monday night. The tone for the lopsided victory was set early on, with the Wildcats rushing to a dominating 55-8 lead at halftime. That, by the way, is the fewest points allowed in a half since the shot clock has been in use. The winning margin was the largest in school history. Their previous high was a 101-49 win over Mississippi Valley State, set in 2014.

This was one for the record books indeed. College basketball can sometimes bring wild and crazy surprises, which is all part of the fun of the game.
