Nolan Smith (187 cm, Duke’11) will be taking his talents to Croatia this 2013-14 season as he signs a deal to play for KK Cedevita Zagreb. The son of former NBA player Derek Smith was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round (21st overall) in the 2011 draft.

In 2012-13, while under contract with the Blazers, Smith was assigned to the D-League’s Idaho Stampede on January 2013. In two games he averaged 22.5 ppg and 5.5 apg. That same month he was called back to play for Portland and in 40 games he was able to average 2.8 ppg through minimal usage off the bench.
