Nik Cochran departs Upea Capo d’Orlando

Nik Cochran (190 cm, Davidson’13) has left Upea Capo d’Orlando from Italy’s Serie A. He played eight games for the Italian club and averaged 1.6 ppg and 1.3 rpg. He was released by Donar Groningen (Netherlands-Eredivisie) in the preseason for his failure to pass the physical exam. Cochran is a Canadian player who also holds a British passport. The 26-year-old player spent his rookie season as a pro in 2013-14 with FIATC Juventut Baladona from Spain’s Liga Endesa. He played 31 games for them as a reserve and produced averages of 4.1 ppg and 1.0 apg in an average of just 12.4 minutes per game on the hardcourt. In his rookie year at Davidson, Cochran averaged 9.9 ppg and 3.3 apg in 35 games.
