Nate Rohnert parts ways with BBC Bayreuth

Nate RohnertNate Rohnert (197 cm, Denver’10) has parted ways with BBC Bayreuth (Germany-BBL) after six games. Said Rohnert on Twitter, “Thanks to the BBC club and fans. Really enjoyed my time in Bayreuth. Unfortunately it didn’t work out and I wish BBC nothing but the best.” He dealt with a foot injury, missed the first half of the season, and has had difficulty finding playing time with the club. Rohnert last played for Denain ASC Voltaire (France-ProB) where he averaged 12.1ppg over 34 games. He spent four years playing his collegiate ball with the University of Denver, playing 120 games and compiling a 10.9ppg career scoring average. He averaged 15.9ppg as a junior and 14.5ppg as a senior.

    He will be added to the roster of Gasterra Flames in Groningen, The Netherlands, now. Coming out of college he played already in the Dutch league for Landstede/Zwolle as well. Will be interesting to see how things will work out in Groningen because they have a impressive roster with, unfortunately, a terrible coach.
