Mike Taylor (188 cm, Iowa St. ’07) has been released by CEZ Basketball Nymburk (Czech Republic-NBL). Taylor has played a total of 35 games for the club so far this season; six in the EuroCup, where he averaged 7.7 points per game, 19 in the Czech Republic NBL, where he contributed 10.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, and 10 in the VTB United League, where he averaged 8.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. Last season Taylor played for Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas (Greece-A1), where he tallied 13.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in 22 games before an injury sat him down for the rest of the season. He also has playing time in the NBA, having been drafted in the 2nd round (55th pick overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Portland Trailblazers and then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. He suited up for the Clippers in 2008-09, seeing the floor in 48 games and averaging 5.9 points per game, with high games of 13 points against the Utah Jazz and 12 against the Denver Nuggets.
