Betancor leaves FIBA Europe

Miguel Betancor will leave FIBA Europe it has been announced today, who has been the organisations Head of Operations for 10 years. The departure agreement was reached by mutual consent after Betancor had recently asked for his contract to be terminated with immediate effect for personal reasons.

Betancor is a former respected international referee who has officiated over 400 international games, including the 1996 Olympic Games, two World Championships (1994 and 1998) and three EuroBaskets (1993, 1999 and 2003). He joined up with FIBA Europe 10 years ago as the co-ordinator of the Referee’s Department that had just been founded. The department was focused on educating and developing referees in the European game.

    Too suspicious. Either he gonna be Sienna GM or goes to politics.
