Michal Ignerski joins Krasnie Krilya

Russian and VTB club Krasnie Krilya Samara has added Polish forward Michal Ignerski (207 cm, Mississippi State’03) for the 2013-14 season. Michal is moving from Virtus Roma from Italy’s Serie A. Before parting with his former team, Ignerski played four games for them in the Eurocup and averaged 7.8 ppg and 2.8 rpg. He also managed to play in four games in the Italian league and there he averaged 9.8 ppg and 2.3 rpg.

Ignerski is no stranger to Russian basketball. He had played for both BC Nizhny Novgorod and Lokomotiv Kuban in the 2011-12 season. In 2012-13 he played for Italian club Banco di Sardegna Sassari (Serie A). In 29 games in the Italian league he averaged 12.2 ppg and 4.7 rpg. In six EuroCup games he was able to average 8.3 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
