Michael Koch bids farewell to Bonn

Telekom Baskets Bonn from Germany’s BBL is headed in a new direction next season. The team’s management has decided not to renew the contract of long-time head coach Michael Koch. Bonn should be announcing its top prospects for his replacement soon.

Koch, who has been Bonn’s head coach since 2005, has led the team to finish as the German Bundesliga Finalists in back-to-back seasons in 2008 and 2009. He also guided them to the German Bundesliga Cup Finals in 2009 and 2012. Outside of Germany, Koch was at the team’s helm when they reached the EuroChallenge Quarterfinals in 2009 and most recently this 2013.
