McElroy extends with NY Phantoms

Immanuel McElroy (193 cm, Cincinnati’02) has received a two-season contract extension from the New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig from Germany’s BBL. McElroy has been with the team since the 2011-12 season. In his rookie season he averaged 8.2 ppg and 4.4 rpg in 34 games.

McElroy exhibited some improvement in his second season with the club. This 2012-13 season he averaged 9.8 ppg and 3.8 rpg. His touch from the outside, a reasonable 36.3%, has been a good complement for his backcourt mate Dennis Schroeder, who might leave the team if he receives a favorable draft position in the upcoming NBA draft.
