Maurice Acker (176 cm, Marquette’10) has signed a deal to play for the 2014 Danish league champions, Bakken Bears (Denmark-Ligaen) this 2014-15. The 27-year-old journeyman point guard will be adding depth to the team’s solid backcourt rotation. He played in the French Pro B league in 2013-14 for Denain ASC Voltaire. In 42 games Acker was able to produce averages of 17.0 ppg and 4.3 apg. In 2012-13 Maurice had a brief four-game stint with Polish club Trefl Sopot (Poland-TBL). He averaged 10.5 ppg and 1.8 apg. He moved on to sign with BK 04 AC LB Spisska Nova Ves (Slovakia-Extra Liga). In 37 games Acker led the league in scoring and assists with 23.9 ppg and 6.7 apg.
