Matt Walsh heads to Germany

Matt Walsh (197 cm, Florida’05) has signed with German BBL team Brose Baskets Bamberg. He is leaving Belgacom Spirou from Belgium’s Ethias League. Before his departure, Walsh played five games in the EuroCup for Spirou and 17.6 ppg and 6.0 rpg. He also played 15 games for them in the Ethias League and notched averages of 18.9 ppg and 9.7 rpg.

In the 2011-12 season, Walsh signed with UCAM Murcia from Spain’s ACB in November 2011 and played 11 games for them and averaged 10.0 ppg and 3.8 rpg. He then moved to Spain’s Caja Laboral Vitoria in January 2012 and there he played four games averaging 2.0 ppg. He quickly transferred to Azovmash Mariupol from Ukraine’s Superleague. There played in 21 games in the Superleague and he averaged 16.0 ppg and 4.4 rpg. He also played in two games in the VTB League that season and recorded 7.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg.
