Marko Popovic departs Khimky

BC Khimky Moscow Region (Russia-VTB) has parted ways with Marko Popovic (185 cm, Southern Idaho’01) this 2015. It was the end of his two-year contract with the Russian club. Popovic is a Croatian player who was a former member of the Croatian national team from 2003 to 2011. In 2014/15 he played 15 games for them in the Eurocup and was able to average 9.9 ppg and 4.5 apg. Khimky won the Eurocup championship this 2015. Marko logged 29 games in the VTB United League and there he produced averages of 8.8 ppg and 3.4 apg.
