Croatian Marko Popovic (185 cm, Southern Idaho’01) is set to reinforce the backcourt of BC Khimky Moscow Region (Russia-PBL) this coming season. The veteran international player was initially signed by Budivelnyk Kyiv from Ukraine’s Superleague, before finalizing his addition to the Russian club this 2013-14.

In 2012-13 he played for Lithuanian powerhouse B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas. In 17 games in the VTB United League Popovic averaged 9.5 ppg and 3.0 apg. In 21 games in the Euroleague he averaged 13.4 ppg and 2.2 apg. In the Lithuanian league Marko hit averages of 6.7 ppg and 2.4 apg in 16 games.
