Mareks Mejeris (208 cm) will be donning the colors of ES Chalon-Sur-Saone (France-Pro A) this 2016-17 season. The 24-year-old Latvian player has been a member of the Latvian national team since 2011. This marks his first stint in the French Pro A. He has seen action in the Spanish Liga Endesa for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in the past, as well as Knet Clavijo from Spain’s LEB Gold. Mareks spent the last two seasons at home, on the roster of VEF Riga (Latvia-LBL). In 2015-16 he played 32 games for them and managed to register averages of 9.9 ppg and 6.6 rpg. He helped his team reach the Latvian league finals this 2016.
