Marcus Williams (200 cm, Arizona’07) has been suspended for six months from Shanxi Zhongyu (China-CBA) for testing positive for marijuana use, he was also fined 10,000 yuan ($1,500). It’s the first recorded case of a CBA player being suspended for being caught for marijuana use by anti-doping controls.
Williams is currently averaging 30.9 points (1st in the league), 6.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists (4th in the league) per game over the first 15 games of the season. He finished last season third in scoring at 32.0 points per game after 40 games.
