Marcus Williams new addition to Red Star

Marcus Williams (191 cm, Connecticut’06) is the latest addition to the roster of Serbian powerhouse Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) Telekom Beograd this 2014-15. The veteran guard is a former first-round draft pick of the New Jersey Nets in 2006. In 2013-14 Williams was the starting point guard of Russian club Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia-VTB). He logged 23 games in the regional VTB United league and averaged 10.7 ppg and 4.5 apg, helping the team make it as far as the quarterfinals in the league’s playoffs. Williams was also present during the team’s run in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and there he posted averages of 7.3 ppg and 3.8 apg.
