Marcus Cousin to play for Shinshu BW

Marcus Cousin (211 cm, Houston’09) is taking his game to Japan to play for the Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano (BJ League) this season. Marcus is coming off a 4-game stint in the Philippines, where he served as the import for the Blackwater Elite (Philippines-PBA) in the Governor’s Cup. During his brief run, Cousin produced double-double averages with 22.8 ppg and 13.0 rpg. He also spent some time in Puerto Rico this 2015 playing for Caciques de Humacao (BSN). In 8 games he was able to average 8.3 ppg and 9.4 rpg.

The 28-year-old big man played the 2014/15 season for Russian club Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd (VTB). He played a dozen games for them during their run in the Eurocup and averaged 6.1 ppg and 3.3 rpg. Marcus also logged 13 games for them in the VTB United League and there he recorded averages of 4.2 ppg and 4.0 rpg.
