Marcelus Kemp released by Montepaschi
Marcelus Kemp (196 cm, Nevada’08) has been released by Montepaschi Siena (Italy-SerieA), but the club hasn’t ruled out Kemp’s return. Kemp suited up for Besiktas Milangaz Istanbul (Turkey-TBL) last season and competed with them in three competitions. In two EuroCup qualifiers he dropped in 21.0 points per game. In Dec., 2011 he was hurt and out of action for two months, returning to compete in the EuroChallenge where he averaged 11.1 points per game over 20 games. In 31 Turkish TBL games he tallied 9.6ppg. Kemp played four seasons at the University of Nevada- Reno, compiling a career average of 14.5ppg, with a freshman season at 4.6ppg. His last two seasons were his best, averaging 18.5ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.4apg as a junior and 20.0ppg, 5.4rpg and 3.3apg as a senior. He suited up in 134 games for Nevada.
