Marcel Jones (203 cm, Oregon State’08) has signed with Akhisar Belediye (Turkey-TB2L). The 25-year-old American also holds a New Zealand passport and started last season in Italy. There, he played for Pallacanestro Cantu and averaged 6.3 ppg and 3.3 rpg in 16 Eurocup games, as well as 3.4 ppg and 1.4 rpg in 25 games of the Italian Serie A. Marcel Jones left Italy at the end of April to join Telecom Business Hub Jets in New Zealand (NBL) a little later. He averaged 20.9 ppg and 7.5 rpg with them. Jones also played professionally in Bosnia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Syria and the United Kingdom.
