Mamadi Diane inks with UCAM Murcia

Mamadi Diane (196 cm, Virginia ’09) has signed on with UCAM Murcia (Spain-ACB) for the rest of the 2012-13 season. Diane started the 2011-12 season with BK SPU Bemaco Nitra (Slovakia-Extraliga) and played in four EuroChallenge games, averaging 18.8 points per game, then moved to BK Ventspils (Latvia-LBL) in Dec., 2011. While with Ventspils he competed in three leagues with the club: the Latvian League, where he contributed 10.8 points per game in 12 games; the Baltic League, averaging 11.1 points over 12 games; and the EuroChallenge competition, where he averaged 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in nine games. Diane was a four-year member on the Virginia basketball team, playing in 119 games over those four years with a 8.6 points per game average.
