AEK Athens (Greece, A1) has continued its eye catching new recruitment drive with the addition of Malik Hairston (198 cm, Oregon’08). The Greek club has already added Carl English and Pops Mensah-Bonsu, so Hairston will be enjoying an exciting new roster. The American has been playing for Galatasaray Liv Hospital most recently, suiting up for the Turkish powerhouse through the 2013/2014 season.

During that campaign the swingman played 21 Euroleague games and recorded averages of 8.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Malik Hairston has played for EA7 Milan and Montepaschi Siena, the last two champions of Italy’s Serie A. He is also known for his time in the NBA, where he wore the colors of the San Antonio Spurs.
