Malcolm White (205 cm) is a new addition to the roster of Al Shamal from Qatar’s Division I this coming 2014-15 season. This will be his first time to play for in an Asian league. The 26-year-old forward played for Club Trouville Montevideo (Uruguay-LUB) in 2013-14. He logged seven games for them scoring an average of 10.3 ppg, while also grabbing 8.6 rpg. White moved to Atletico Aguada (Uruguay-LUB), a club he represented at the Liga Americas. There Malcolm produced averages of 6.9 ppg and 5.4 rpg in eight games. During his rookie season (2012-13) White was originally set to play for the Toyama Grouses (Japan-BJ league), but instead he began his pro career in Canada, signing with the Halifax Rainmen. He averaged 6.6 ppg and 4.7 rpg in 20 games.
