Maks Adam Konate (202 cm) inked a deal to join Tartu Ulikool/Rock (Estonia-Alexela KML). The move follows a 26-game stint with Zaporizhya (Ukraine-Superleague) where Konate led the team in points and rebounds. In 31 mpg, he scored 18.7 ppg while grabbing 9.1 rpg. His role was crucial for his former team and he played at a high level in that position. TU/Rock will look for the same out of the 25-year-old power forward. The team currently leads in the KML standings with a 16-2 record. A year ago, Konate played in Russia with two different teams. He started the year with Sakhalin Yuzhno (Russia-Superleague) where he played in eight games. Then in December 2015, he moved to Krasny Oktyabr (Russia-VTP). There he played in 18 games with averages of 6.6 ppg and 3.4 rpg in a bench role. Konate is in the midst of this seventh year as a pro.
