Maalik Wayns landed by Zalgiris Kaunas

Maalik Wayns (185 cm, Villanova’12) is joining Lithuanian powerhouse B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL) for the 2014-15 season. This will be the 23-year-old point guard’s first team outside of the United States. He has played for two NBA teams, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers. Maalik was released by the Clippers in January 2014 after logging just two games for the team. He averaged 1.0 ppg and 1.0 apg during his brief run. The next month Wayns signed with D-League team Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He was able to play 11 games for them and he produced averages of 12.3 ppg and 4.2 apg.
