Luther Head to play for BdR Valladolid

Luther Head

Former NBA sharpshooter, Luther Head (191 cm, Illinois’05) will get a taste of European hoops as he signs with Spanish Liga Endesa club Blancos de Rueda Valladolid. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the first round (24th) in the 2005 NBA Draft. His foray in Spain will be his first signing outside of the United States. After leaving the NBA, Head spent some time in the D-League.

In 2012-13 Luther signed with the Austin Toros (D-League) where he was able to log six games and average 9.3 ppg and 1.5 rpg. In January 2013 he moved to the Frisco Texas Legends (D-League). He played five games for them and averaged 16.4 ppg and 3.0 rpg. He left the next month.
