Leo Lyons departs Nizhny Novgorod

Leo Lyons (206 cm, Missouri’09) has parted ways with Russian VTB League club and Eurocup participant NC Nizhny Novgorod. The 26-year-old former Mizzou forward played a total of five games for Nizhny Novgorod in the VTB League and he produced averages of 12.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg.

He moved to Nizhny Novgorod in January 2014 after beginning the season on the roster of Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (Turkey-TBL). Lyons represented his team in 11 games in the Eurocup and there he averaged 10.2 ppg and 4.8 rpg. The player also appeared in 14 domestic Turkish TBL games with averages of 11.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg.
