KK Buducnost wins Montenegrin league

KK BuducnostKK Buducnost Voli Podgorica continued its dominance of Montenegrin Basketball by seeing off Zeta Golubovci in Game 3 of the Erste League Final series. The defending champions swept the series after this 89-73 win to claim a fifth consecutive title, a streak that stretches back to 2009.

During the season KK Buducnost looked unstoppable and topped the Regular Season table with an undefeated 10-0 record. The champs have also been supreme through the playoffs and controlled the game to halt Zeta’s title tilt. The fans inside the Moraca Hall were hardly treated to a classic as it was a scrappy contest, but there was a clear difference in class on the court with Buducnost obviously the better team.

Vladimir Mihailovic was the top scorer for the winners with 28 points, but he was topped by former Buducnost and current Zeta forward Balsa Radunovic who had a monstrous game with 33 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 assists. On any other night Radunovic would have been showing his former club what it was missing, but there was no stopping Buducnost as they claimed another title.
