Kevin Sims (178 cm, Tulane’10) has signed a deal with CSS Giurgiu (Romania-Division A), which marks a return to the club from the 2011-12 season. Sims played four years of collegiate basketball at Tulane University where he amassed a career scoring total of 11.6 points per game and 3.6 assist per game over a total of 115 games. His best season was his junior year (2008-09) when he totaled 13.0ppg and 4.0apg in 31 games. After leaving Tulane inked with As de Sale (Morocco-D1), where he stayed until Feb., 2011 and moved to UMF. Grindavik (Iceland-Express League). In the summer of 2011 he was drafted by the Georgia Lions of the US UBA, in the 12 games he suited up for the Lions he dropped in 20.9ppg and dished off 6.5apg. His first time on the CSS Giurgiu lineup came in Dec., 2011 when he was picked up by the Romanian club. He saw the court 13 times in their colors and contributed 18.3ppg and 4.5apg, which was good enough to sit in the fourth spot on the Romanian Division-A leader board. At the start of the 2012-13 season he agreed to terms with Naturtex-SZTE-Szedeak Szeged (Hungary-A Division), but was only with them for the pre-season. The move back to CSS Giurgiu comes part-way into the season, but in his first contest with them he dropped in 17 points in 35 minutes of playing time.

Sometimes I get an impression that Hungarian league is getting better every year. Maybe it’s a natural progress of humanity which makes personal life more comfortable. Doubt that they built any new arena though.
