Kevin Anderson joins Cantu

Kevin Anderson (182 cm, Richmond’11) has signed on to play for Mapooro Cantu (Italy-SerieA) for the rest of the season. This season Anderson started out with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but was waived before training camp finished. He moved to the Canton Charge of the NBA D-League and saw action in 10 games, averaging 8.1 points per game before being released. Last season he suited up for Strasbourg IG (France-ProA) and averaged 12.5 points and 3.5 assists per game over 30 ProA contests. Anderson was a four-year member of the Richmond Spiders in the NCAA’s Atlantic 10 conference, playing in 139 games and carrying a 15.6 points and 2.9 assists per game average over his collegiate career. The Spiders competed in the NCAA Tournament his junior and senior years, getting ousted in the first round in 2010, but they made it to the Southwest Regional Semis before losing to Kansas in 2011.
