Keith Benson inks with BC Rytas Vilnius

Keith Benson (211 cm, C) is on the move to Lithuania. There he will join BC Rytas Vilnius and coach Donaldas Kairys. Rytas is struggling a bit as of late, losing five of the last six LKL games and two out of three Champion League games.

Benson is supposed to come in immediately and strengthen the Lithuanian side’s efforts. Last season Benson played for South East Melbourne Phoenix in the Australian NBL, where in 16 games, he recorded 5.8ppg and 3.9rpg. At the end of the season, he moved to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the UAE’s ULB.

Keith Benson, 32-years old, has played previously in Germany, Italy, Belarus, Estonia, Greece, and Japan. In between many of those seasons, Benson returned to play for various G-League teams in hopes of landing an NBA roster spot.

Benson graduated from Oakland University, where he averaged 17.9 ppg and 10.2 rebounds his senior year.
