Justin Tubbs waived by Crailsheim

Justin Tubbs (190 cm, East Tennessee State’11) has been released by Crailsheim Merlins. Crailsheim Merlins is a newcomer in the German Bundesliga and has started the season with a 0-4 record. The team has never played in the Bundesliga before and the coaching staff consists out of two former American players; headcoach Willie Young and his assistant Darren Stackhouse. Neither one of them has any coaching experience at Bundesliga level. Not only Justin Tubbs was released today but also his fellow American Jared Newsom. 

Justin Tubbs averaged only 4.3 ppg in his 4 games for Crailsheim (in only 11.8 mpg). Last season he had more impressive stats in the French Pro B where he averaged 11.5 ppg. Previously he also played in Canada, Israel and Georgia.
