Justin Holiday signs with Szolnoki

Former NBA journeyman guard Justin Holiday (185 cm, Washington’11) is hitting the international basketball scene once again. He has agreed to terms with Hungarian A Division team Szolnoki Olajbanyasz. Holiday began 2013-14 with the Philadelphia 76ers, but was released by the team in August 2013. He then moved to the Utah Jazz. Now, his next step takes him to Europe where he will be hanging his jersey in Hungary.

In 2012-13 he spent the preseason with the Cleveland Cavaliers, then later transferred to the Portland Trail Blazers, but left before the season began. Holiday then joined the Idaho Stampede of the D-League and averaged 17.3 ppg and 2.5 apg in 47 games. In April 2013 he moved to the Philadelphia 76ers and in nine games managed to average 4.7 ppg and 1.7 apg.
