Josh Magette from NBA to Turkey

Josh Magette (185 cm, G) inked a deal with Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul.

The 31-year old point guard most recently split time between NBA duties and the GLeague. He played eight games in the Orlando Magic jersey and averaged 1.5 ppg. He also was a starter for the Lakeland franchise and put up impressive numbers in 29 games; 21.1 ppg and 9.8 apg. The assist average led the league.

Josh Magette has enjoyed three previous stints in Europe. Right out of college he joined Landstede Zwolle in the Dutch DBL. He has also played in Greece (Koroivos), Croatia (Cedevita Zagreb), and Spain (Gran Canaria). During the 18/19 season in Spain, Magette also played EuroLeague.

Josh Magette joins coach Selcuk Emak and a 5-6 Darussafaka team that sits currently at 6th place in the BSL standings.

Josh Magette played Division II basketball at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
