Jonathon Simmons (198 cm, G/F) has signed with the Chinese team Liaoning Flying Leopards and will make his overseas debut at age 31! Simmons was an early entry draft candidate in 2012 but went undrafted even though he had averaged 14.7 ppg and 5 rpg for the University of Houston. But Simmons kept chasing the dream and was in an out of the G League, NBA camps, and summer leagues until he finally played his first NBA game in 2015 (San Antonio Spurs). In the following years, he would also see playing time with Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, and Washington Wizards along with several G League teams. During the 2019/2020 season, his last team was G League team Santa Cruz Warriors where he averaged an impressive 19.6 ppg and 5 rpg.
