Jonathan Huffman inks with Al Shamal

Jonathan Huffman (213 cm, Iona’10) has been added by Qatari D1 team Al Shamal for the 2013-14 season to bolster their frontcourt. The 27-year-old big man spent the 2012-13 season playing in Iraq’s D1 for Al Shurtah Police, but he left in January 2013. The season before that he was with Shorta-Police from Egypt’s Superleague. His deal in Qatar marks a fresh start for Huffman.

His last stint outside of Asia was in 2010-11 where he played in Romania, suiting up for BC Perla Harghitei Miercurea Ciuc. There he averaged 10.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg in 23 games.
