John Shurna inks with Valencia Basket

John Shurna (204 cm, Northwestern’12) has reached an agreement with Valencia Basket (Spain-Liga Endesa) and will be joining the club for the 2015/16 season. John is an American player who also holds a Lithuanian passport. The 25-year-old Shurna spent his 2014/15 season playing for Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul (Turkey-TBL). He played 28 games for his former team last season and was able to produce averages of 9.5 ppg and 3.4 rpg.

John is no stranger to Spain’s top league. In 2013/14 he was on the roster of FIATC Joventut Baladona (Spain-Liga Endesa). He appeared in 34 games for them in the Spanish league and was able to post averages of 11.7 ppg and 3.7 rpg.
