John Lucas III pens with Quanzhou

John Lucas III (180 cm, Oklahoma State’05) is heading to the Chinese CBA to hit the hardwood with Fujian Quanzhou Bank for the campaign. The point guard has been passed around NBA franchises this season but couldn’t find a permanent base at the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics, or the Washington Wizards. Last season the American played 42 games for the Utah Jazz and from his limited minutes averaged 3.9 points and 1.0 assists per game.

During the 2012/2013 season John Lucas III played for the Toronto Raptors over 63 games and during his stay logged 5.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. The 32-year old has plenty of NBA experience with the Chicago Bulls and the Houston Rockets. He has also played in Italy, while this will be his second stint in China.
