The Zheijiang Guangsha Lions from China’s CBA have decided to release French big man Johan Petro (214 cm) after he logged six games for the team. In those six games Petro averaged 13.5 ppg and 9.8 rpg. He has been a long-time member of the French National Team from 2005-06, 2008-10 and 2013. He represented the gold medal-winning French team in the 2013 Eurobasket.
The 27-year-old was with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks in 2012-13 and posted averages of 3.7 ppg and 3.6 rpg. Prior to that run he spent two seasons with the then New Jersey Nets as a back up center.
