Joey Haywood re-signs with Halifax Rainmen

The Halifax Rainmen (Canada NBL) have re-signed their All-Star guard, Joey Haywood for the 2012-13 season. Haywood (1.83m, college: St. Mary’s, Canada), averaged 12.6 points, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game for the Rainmen and was honored by the NBL as the Player of the Week after his first week playing as a professional. He was also named to the NBL 2nd-Team All-Defense team, was the co-captain of the NBL All-Star Game and was named NBL Canadian of the Year. He was the Canadian Interuniversity Sport scoring champion for the 2010-11 season while at St. Mary’s.
