Belgian team Belgacom Spirou Chareloi (Ethias League) has added Joe Trapani (203 cm, Boston College’11) to reinforce their roster for the 2013-14 season. Trapani is an American player who received his Italian passport in 2011.

In his rookie season (2011-12) Trapani began his career in Italy’s SerieA, signing with Novipiu Casale Monferrato. He only logged three games averaging 5.3 ppg 1.7 rpg. He left the team in October 2011. A month later he tried out for Scavolini Siviglia Pesaro. Things didn’t pan out and Joe found himself landing with MarcoPoloShop.it Forli from Italy’s Lega2. In a dozen games he averaged 9.4 ppg and 5.1 rpg. In March 2012 he signed with the D-League’s Maine Red Claws where he posted averages of 3.2 ppg and 3.7 rpg.
