Oregon State’s Joe Burton (201 cm, Oregon State’13) is set to begin his professional career. He’s landed a deal with the Aalborg Vikings from Denmark’s Ligaen. In Burton’s senior year at college he averaged 11.0 ppg and 6.4 rpg in 32 games. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Salem Sabres (USA-ABA) and there he was able to play in 18 games and average 13.9 ppg and 14.8 rpg. Impressive rebounding numbers, but he will have to prove his mettle in the international basketball scene. It will be a challenge, but Burton is excited to contribute and be put to the test.
