Jiri Hubalek pens with Libertad

Jiri Hubalek (209 cm, Iowa State’08) has agreed to terms with Argentinian Libertad Sunchales (LigaA). Hubalek played the 2013/14 season for Al Hilal Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The Czech International started the 2012/13 season with Nuovo Napoli Basket (Italy-Lega2), but then moved to Umana Reyer Venezia (Italy-SerieA) and averaged 4.5 ppg and 2.7 rpg in 23 games. Earlier, he suited up for Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbour in the Iranian Superleague, where he played in five games and dropped in an average of 20.8 points and hauled in 7.2 rebounds per game. Jiri Hubalek signed with Al Moutahed Tripoli of the Lebanese Division A League and saw action in one contest, contributing 10 points. In 2010-11 he was in Italy playing for Diamo Ford Sassari in SerieA, averaging 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over 11 games. Jiri Hubalek played collegiately at Iowa State (NCAA-Div 1), compiling a 10.8 ppg and 6.0 rpg average, with 12.4 ppg and 7.3 rpg his final season.
