Jimmy Baxter suspended by Giessen

Jimmy Baxter (198cm, South Florida’02) has been suspended by Giessen 46ers (Germany-BBL) until further notice. No further information has been released by the club or Baxter regarding the matter. As of Friday, Baxter was averaging 14.6 points per game in the BBL over nine contests and is the second best scorer on the team behind Ryan Brooks (16.3ppg). He leads the team in average minutes played with 32.2 minutes per game. Baxter is a product of South Florida University where he was a four-year member of the Bulls’ squad. As a junior he averaged 14.6 points per game for the Conference USA club. As a senior he left the team part-way through the season to devote his time to his other sport, track and field, where he was an Olympic hopeful in the high jump.
