Nigerian big man Jeleel Akindele (216 cm, Chicago State’05) is staying in Spain’s Liga Endesa this 2014-15 after signing with Baloncesto Fuenlabrada. The player moved to Herbalife Gran Canaria 2014 (Spain-Liga Endesa) late in the 2013-14 season. He played seven games for them and averaged 4.3 ppg and 2.9 rpg. Akindele transferred there after beginning the season with KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (Montenegro-Erste Liga). He appeared in 10 games for them in the Eurocup and notched averages of 11.7 ppg and 8.5 rpg. The seven-footer also played in 24 games for Buducnost in the Adriatic league and there he averaged 9.3 ppg and 6.6 rpg.
