Iranian club Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbor (Iran-Superleague) has secured the services of Nigerian big man Jeleel Akindele (216 cm, Chicago State’05). He was a former member of the Nigerian national team in 2006-07 and again in 2009. Jeleel has played two games for Yesilgiresun Belediye (Turkey-BSL), where he started the 2015-16 season. His two games were solid. Akindele averaged a double-double with 13 ppg and 11 rpg.

Jeleel also played in the Dominican Republic this 2015 for the Metros de Santiago (Dominican Republic-LNB). In six games he recorded averages of 9.5 ppg and 8.2 rpg.
