Jean Manuel Sousa fired by Cholet

Jean Manuel Sousa will be looking for a new position in the New Year while Cholet Basket (France, ProA) will be looking for a new coach. The French outfit decided to let go of the tactician after the team lost seven in a row in the league to leave the club´s season in tatters with a record of 5-9 in 13th place in the ProA standings.

The Portuguese-French coach joined Cholet in 2012 and in his first season guided the club to the French La Semaine des As Cup Final Four. The club won the ProA in 2010 but it has become apparent that Jean Manuel Sousa was not the man to guide them to a second league success. The 48-year old has previously held the Head Coach position at fellow French club STB Le Harve, where he also played between 1993 and 2001.
