AEK Athens (Greece-A1) has secured the services of veteran journeyman Jawad Williams (204 cm, North Carolina’05) for the 2016-17 season. Williams is coming off a stint with Turkish club Royal Hali Gaziantep (Turkey-BSL) in 2015-16. He played 14 games during their run in the FIBA Europe Cup and managed to record averages of 12.0 ppg and 3.6 rpg. Jawad appeared in a total of 30 games in domestic Turkish league and there he posted averages of 12.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg. He also played eight games for the Indios de Mayaguez (Puerto Rico-BSN) in 2015 and Williams averaged 15.6 ppg and 4.3 rpg.
