James Southerland (203 cm, Syracuse’13) has agreed to terms on a deal to play for the Indios de Mayaguez (Puerto Rico-BSN) this 2017. This will be the third team for the Syracuse product this 2016-17 season. He began it in Europe, suiting up for s.Oliver Baskets Wuerzburg (Germany-BBL). James averaged 5.6 ppg and 3.9 rpg. In December 2016 the forward returned to the United States where he drew a stint with in the NBA D-League. He landed a roster spot with the Santa Cruz Warriors. Southerland appeared in a total of 38 games for the Santa Cruz Warriors and posted averages of 13.7 ppg and 6.3 rpg.
