James Ennis heads to Perth

James EnnisAlthough James Ennis (201 cm, Long Beach State’13) was drafted by the Miami Heat as a second round pick during the 2013 NBA Draft (via the Atlanta Hawks) he will actually begin his pro career with the Perth Wildcats (Australia, NBL). The swingman impressed recently while representing the Heat at the NBA Pro Summer League in Orlando, where he played seven games and averaged 12.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.

James Ennis’ agent confirmed the move to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Although the player was offered more money in Europe, the fact that his whole salary will be paid in Perth and he can move back to the Miami Heat at any time sealed the deal for the 23-year old (in other words he got a full NBA-out).
