J.P. Prince joins Mets de Guaynabo

J.P. Prince (201 cm, Tennessee’10) has been signed by the Mets de Guaynabo from Puerto Rico’s BSN. Prince is coming off a stint playing in Turkey (TBL) for Mersin Buyuksehir Belediyesi. In 21 games playing for Mersin in the Turkish league he averaged 12.5 ppg and 7.2 rpg.

He transferred to Mersin after a very brief two-game run with Guaiqueries de Margarita from Venezuela’s LPB. In those two games he only managed to average 2.5 ppg and 2.0 rpg. Prince began the 2011-12 season with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, but was cut by the team at the end of the pre-season.
